Main Sources of Income

Council Tax (Precept)

The Parish Council received:

£50,107.90

This is the portion of council tax collected from residents and forms the main source of funding.

Village Hall Income

Income is generated through hire of the Village Hall and meeting rooms by local groups, classes, civic meetings and private bookings.

Approximately £24,000 is received from regular users, including fitness classes, clubs and community groups. A further £10,500 is generated from one-off and private hire such as parties and events. Around £500 relates to polling station and civic use, with the remaining income from minor adjustments and miscellaneous hall-related income.

This combination of regular and ad-hoc bookings provides a stable and sustainable income stream to support the ongoing maintenance and operation of the Village Hall.

Grants and Funding Received

The Council received external funding to support specific projects and services.

Examples include:

• Contributions from Buckinghamshire Council
• Devolved services funding (e.g. verge maintenance)

Other Income

Additional income sources include:

• Bank interest earned on council funds
• Refunds and reimbursements
• Miscellaneous income (e.g. HMRC repayments)

 Income Overview

The Council’s income is broadly made up of:

• The remainder from hall hire, grants, and other income

This helps reduce reliance on council tax while supporting community facilities.
